Introduction
This website was created to help those who have little or no experience in coding websites to learn to write HTML, CSS, PHP, and ultimately, websites. It is laid out so you can follow it step by step to turn your drawings or ideas into websites.
Why Should I Learn HTML, CSS, or PHP?
Learning HTML will give you more control over your website's design than WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editors will give you. Plus, the HTML you write will be more compact and won't have all the extra junk WYSIWYG editors sometimes include.
Learning CSS will help you better tune your site's look, allowing you to do things like make your links light up when you hover over them or change your mouse cursor.
Learning PHP can enable your visitors to interact with your site, as they could do in a guestbook, forum, or blog.

I converted most of this site to XML and XSLT yesterday after I decided to make this site a tutorial in creating websites for those who just can't figure out HTML and CSS, not to mention PHP. I decided on this topic because some people I know have had enormous difficulty in trying to create websites.
February 29, 2008: Renovation
This is the second version of ericflin.com. Along with the obvious change in appearance, I will also be changing the way I manage content. This time, nothing will go online until it meets my publishing standards: The document has at least 250 words; the content has been proofread for errors and clarity and has been revised accordingly.
